4pm News Presenter

Alison Ariotti has been working for Nine News Queensland since 2004.

After graduating with distinction from the Queensland University of Technology in 2000, Ariotti landed her first full time TV job with WIN Television in Cairns in early 2001.

She covered the police and court rounds in Cairns for two years before transferring to WIN Sunshine Coast where she covered a wide range of stories including the disappearance of Daniel Morcombe. Ariotti returned to Cairns in early 2004 after being appointed Chief of Staff, but was in the role only six months before she was offered a job as a reporter for Nine News Gold Coast.

Having grown up in Kingscliff, Ariotti brought an intimate knowledge of the region to her role. Here, she also worked as a police and court reporter.

After a few years on the Gold Coast, Ariotti moved to Brisbane and worked in the newsroom until 2009 when she landed the job as the Queensland correspondent for the TODAY Show.

She worked for the TODAY Show for four years and loved the role, stopping only when she gave birth to her first daughter.

Ariotti moved to Sydney as a new mum and returned from maternity leave to anchor Nine News Now in the TCN Newsroom for a little under a year, before returning home to Brisbane.

She was appointed Weekend Presenter and spent three years in this role, having six months off to welcome her second daughter.

In January 2018 Ariotti began a new role at Nine News Brisbane, presenting Nine Live Queensland in a job-sharing role with Eva Milic. Ariotti is also back on the road, reporting for the state’s 6pm bulletin.

In 2018, Ariotti had her third child, a son.

When Ariotti isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, is a keen fitness fan and loves reading and going to the beach.
