Weekend Presenter

Mia Glover has always had a passion for telling people's stories and bringing vital news to viewers every night.

Mia has been a journalist for more than 10 years.

Her career started in Wollongong, NSW working for i98FM and WIN Television as both an on the road reporter and Breakfast News Presenter.

From there, Mia went onto work for Sydney's number 1 and number 2 FM radio stations as a News Presenter.

During her time at WSFM & KIISFM, Mia covered a wide range of national and breaking stories, including the Bali Nine executions, cricketer Phillip Hughes' death as well as the Lindt Cafe siege

It was a move to Canberra in 2015 for her husband's work that Glover re-visited her love of television, covering local and federal politics for WIN News Canberra. There she also covered the launch of the first direct flights into Canberra from Singapore, travelling to the Asian city on a trade mission with the then Chief Minister.

Twelve months later, Nine News hired Mia to join the Gold Coast newsroom. There she covered crime, court, the release of Schapelle Corby, natural disasters including Cyclone Debbie and the Dreamworld tragedy.

Mia also stepped into the roles of News Presenter and Weather Presenter, which she still does today.

In March 2018, Mia moved up the M1, joining Brisbane's newsroom as a senior reporter, covering major national and breaking stories, as well as prominent court cases and trials including the Dreamworld inquest and the strawberry sabotage saga. Mia's also lucky enough to have covered the Logies 2019 on the Gold Coast for the Network, interviewing stars on the red carpet and winners the following day, as well as the launch of the world's first 'Scuber' at Heron Island.
